It is important for all of our community to understand, some attending our classes have been victims of violence or abuse and hold well founded fears for their safety if perpetrators know where to find them. People come to martial arts for reasons ranging from social connection to health and fitness, to self confidence and self-defence. We believe Martial Arts is a great way to address these areas and we love to see our students improve their health and well-being. We certainly don’t wish to undermine these benefits by disrespecting privacy concerns. We take great care to seek permission before sharing any child’s photo on social media or, our website. This is in addition to sign off in our general conditions of membership. We never include the names of children with photos except where special permission is granted such as black belt gradings where all concerned are comfortable with us doing so. Please don’t take photos or video footage of our classes unless you have checked with us first. We are more than happy to make photo opportunities available for families to photograph or video their own family members, but we ask that photos and videos not be taken during classes, where inadvertent footage of others may be obtained.
