FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION’S

Q: How come there are no term fee’s?

A: After the covid lockdowns we decided to change our fee structure to prepaid classes. This offers our students more flexibility if they need to miss class for any reason as you do not lose that session.

Q: Can we change what day we attend class?

A: Yes, you are able to attend any class suitable for your age group and skill level.

Q: Can we attend more than one class a week?

A: With our prepaid lessons you are able to use them as you wish. You are not restricted on how many classes you attend, once your prepaid balance reaches 2 lessons remaining we will email you to let you know.

Q: Would a private lesson help me learn my kata faster?

A: In our experience private lessons offer students a distraction free environment suited to enhanced learning. One on one tuition means we can give specific feedback and this typically speeds learning and understanding.

Q: What are the karate grades called?

A: When you begin karate you start off at 10th kyu - white belt - and work your way down the kyu grades to achieve your first black belt of Sho Dan Ho. Once you reach black belt you begin counting up again but this time they are called dan gradings and gold stripes are added to the black belt as you progress.

The easiest way to answer this is with pictures. This is the kyu grading system up to your first black belt at our dojo, hopefully this will explain it👇
