Kismet Park Primary School Gym is unavailable for our classes on Tuesday 5th September 2023 due to a school event. Only the 3:30pm and 4:30pm karate classes normally at Kismet Park are effected. We encourage our Kismet Park students to join us at another suitable class during the week. Prepaid lessons are valid for any suitable class.

In term 4, our Saturday classes will be moving from Sunbury Heights Primary School back to the Dulap Wilim HUB as in term 2. The HUB is being used as a polling place on Saturday 14th October so we are seeking an alternative venue for that day. We will advise further when we have an alternative venue secured.

KARATE STANCES

Over the past few weeks in all our karate classes we have been encouraging students to learn the Japanese names of our stances, if you would like to play a little game and test someone out, see if they can name any of these stances - bonus points for the Japanese name! (answers are at the bottom of this email!) the intersection of the cross indicates where the head should be relative to the feet. The more advanced the student the more stances they should know 😉

EXTENDED ADULT CLASSES - TERM 3

We invite all of our adult karate students to join us for an extended class on Saturday 9th September from 11:00am to 1:00pm. These longer classes allow us to continue our fun and explore various aspects of karate in more detail.

TAI CHI CLASSES

We are currently offering 2 free trial lessons for new tai chi studnets on Tuesday evenings (7.30pm) if you would like to give it a go. Classes are at the Killara Primary School Theatre which has heating, close parking and easy access. Please let Bree or Geoff know if you or someone you know would like to try. Email either of us;
